GTA 6 fans have been left frustrated after Netflix issues disrupted the premiere of Rockstar Games’ highly anticipated Extended Look at the game.
The presentation marked the first major official look at GTA 6 in more than a year, with Rockstar opting for an unusual Netflix-first release before making the footage available elsewhere later in the day.
According to Downdetector, reports of Netflix problems spiked around the time the GTA 6 Extended Look was due to premiere, with more than 1,500 reports appearing on the service tracker.
The screenshot shows that 38% of reported problems were related to Netflix’s website, while 27% involved server connections and 22% were tied to video streaming.
Rockstar announced earlier in August that the Extended Look would debut on Netflix before being released for free through its own platforms. Netflix has a six-hour exclusivity window, with the presentation scheduled to arrive on Rockstar’s official YouTube channel and the GTA 6 website at 9 PM ET.
The Netflix special was also positioned as more than a traditional GTA trailer. Rockstar’s Extended Look was expected to provide a much deeper look at the game ahead of its launch, while the Netflix listing revealed a runtime of 26 minutes.
