After years of waiting and a fair few delays, Professor Layton and The New World of Steam finally has a Switch 1 & 2 release date: 10th December 2026.
The first mainline game in over a decade, The New World of Steam sees Layton and Luke team up in the land of Steam Bison — a hop across the pond from the pair's previous escapades — to solve the mystery of a phantom gunslinger terrorising the town.
Japanese YouTube collective QuizKnock are on puzzle duties this time, with the upcoming release boasting "the biggest collection of puzzles in series history". Sheesh.

After all those delays, we can't quite believe that this one will actually come our way in just a few months. Let's keep our fingers crossed that nothing goes wrong at the eleventh hour, eh?
