That’s how Vin Diesel captioned his Instagram post showing him walking with George Lucas at the latter’s new Lucas Museum of Narrative Art in Los Angeles.
“Architects of mythology…,” Diesel’s post reads. “Lucas’s museum will be a gift to the world… and to those, who aren’t even born yet…”
It’s not entirely clear whether Diesel is suggesting that both men – one the star/producer of the Fast and the Furious and Riddick movies and the other being the creator of Star Wars and Indiana Jones – are equals as “architects of mythology” or if he simply means the museum honors visual storytellers in general as "architects of mythology."
In any case, the phrasing of Diesel’s post invited derision online. Some examples follow.

This may come as a shock to some but Vin Diesel is widely suspected to have a very healthy ego. Funk’s House of Geekery even posted a rundown of Diesel's six most egotistical moments, although it neglects to mention the actor’s infamous feud with his Fast and Furious co-star Dwayne Johnson.
