No, these secrets must be sought out, bits of lore pieced together, and a story forged from scraps of buried info. Lore enthusiasts, let’s dive in!
You’ll probably have a lot of positive thoughts about Lifeblood. You know, it looks so clean, blue, and shiny, and it gives you extra masks. Isn’t that nice? Not like that terrible orange infection that spread so incessantly throughout the land.
Well, what if I told you these two phenomena weren’t actually that different? While Lifeblood was always considered “taboo” in the original Hollow Knight, in Silksong, we quickly learn that, just like the infection, Lifeblood can transform and corrupt creatures too. There’s a lot more to this odd liquid than meets the eye, and I’m certain we’ll learn more soon!
Most folks probably know Hollow Knight was originally a Kickstarter game, funded by many enthusiastic backers. However, fewer know these backers had a tangible impact on the game, with an entire secret area dedicated to their kindness and generosity.
Head to the far northeastern part of the Resting Grounds, into the Spirit’s Glade, then proceed to the top where the waterfall is. Crystal Dash to the waterfall cave and go inside. Within, you’ll see a huge moth statue. Find the little platform to the left of its head, then use your Dream Nail to get inside.
