Devil Fruits are the primary power system of the world of One Piece, and they were introduced by Eiichiro Oda, the creator of the story, in the very first chapter, where we saw Luffy, the protagonist, consume the Gomu Gomu no Mi. Over the years, Devil Fruits have grown in number as well as been expanded upon tremendously in terms of classification and the abilities they offer.
Within the Straw Hat Pirates, we have seen a total of four Devil Fruit users so far, but that hasn't stopped the creator of the series, Eiichiro Oda, from assigning the perfect Devil Fruits to every single member of the crew. In One Piece Volume 98 SBS, Eiichiro Oda gave the perfect Devil Fruits to Luffy's Wings, who are currently trying their best to master the Color of the Supreme King in the Elbaf arc as we edge closer to the release of Chapter 1192 on September 6, 2026. While Luffy's Wings certainly do not need Devil Fruits, Eiichiro Oda's ideas for their abilities are certainly exciting, to say the least.
Monkey D. Luffy was the first Devil Fruit user of the Straw Hat crew, and he was introduced in the very first chapter of One Piece. After Luffy came Tonytony Chopper, who was introduced in One Piece chapter 138, and he was followed by Nico Robin, who officially joined the crew as a user of the Hana Hana no Mi in chapter 217. Finally, Robin was followed by the last Devil Fruit user of the crew that we know of so far, and that is Brook.
All of these characters have exciting Devil Fruit abilities, but that has only made fans wonder as to what fruit abilities the other members of the Straw Hat crew would have. To that end, fans took to asking Eiichiro Oda this very question during the release of One Piece Volume 98. This volume was officially released on February 4, 2021, and it received a Viz localization a year later in 2022.
In this magazine, Eiichiro Oda assigned a Devil Fruit ability to each member of the Straw Hat crew, including Luffy, Zoro, and Sanji. In the case of Zoro, Oda stated that he would have the power of the Uo Uo no Mi, Model: Seiryuu, which is a Mythical Zoan Devil Fruit that belongs to none other than the Yonko Kaido. Curiously enough, Oda also clarified that Zoro would not hold the Devil Fruit ability himself. Instead, his sword would go on to eat this fruit, and Zoro would then become a swordsman who fights with a Devil Fruit sword. This is very similar to Shamrock Figarland and potentially even to Red-Haired Shanks himself. The concept of Zoro holding such a powerful dragon ability in his sword would make him incredibly overpowered, and that is certainly something that we would love to see in the story as well.

O: I see, that's quite a fun question. Hmmm... what I would like to see is...
