After severing the first Hedron Link and returning to the Oldest House, players will need to reach the newly appeared zone called Unknown in Control Resonant. It's a floating landmass of a cityscape with no roads or tunnels leading up to it. Players will somehow need to find a way to reach this zone to progress the story missions and find the last remaining side stories the game has to offer. Here's how players can reach the Unknown zone in Control Resonant during Sever the Hedron Links main story mission.
The first thing players need to do is enter the elevator in the Oldest House, located on the upper floor of the lobby. Interact with the buttons inside the elevator, and select the "Roof Access" option to head to the rooftop.
After stepping out of the elevator, look to the left, and you'll see Pope's Research Balloons. You'll need to use the Shift ability to align yourself with the balloon's position, get on top of it, and release it. Once you break the cargo it's carrying, it'll have two Probe Relays.
Pick up the first Probe Relay, and you'll need to place it near you, within the area marked by a red circle.
Next, you'll need to pick up the second Probe Relay and take it all the way up to the top. So rely on Shift and Reach, and head towards the radio icon on your mini map.
Once you reach the top, place the second Probe Relay on top, and this should complete the objective.
As soon as you install the two Probe Relays, a rotating disk-like platform will appear in the sky near Dylan. You'll need to get on top of it using the Reach ability.
Now, all you need to do is jump from it and let gravity do the rest. Dylan will fall towards the cityscape of Unknown, so make sure you're aiming for one of the buildings to land safely. From here, you can choose to continue with the main quest, but I recommend exploring the Unknown and unlocking the map first.
