Streaming star Asmongold has responded to WoW Forever players who have been calling for him to be banned after getting a massive number of players in his Olympus guild.
Asmongold has been synonymous with streaming World of Warcraft for years, despite repeatedly claiming he is “done” with the MMO, having grown “bored” of it. He’s regularly around for new updates and weighs in on Blizzard’s changes to the game.
With the launch of the WoW Forever beta, he has been joined by thousands of players in his Olympus guild. This has led to hundreds of players following him around at any one point, prompting non-members to complain about it.
“I had to log off the other day when Asmongold got on. His flock turned SW into a 10fps fest,” one fan said, claiming the Twitch and Kick streamer is a “bane” to the PVP side of the game. Others have called for him to be banned, claiming that the number of players following him will lead to “mass harassment.”
During his September 21 stream, the former OTK member responded to things, including “allegations” that there are “special rules” for content creators.
“I would like to address the allegations that everybody else should quit their guild and join Olympus. They’re true. There are two groups of people in WoW Forever. There are the people who are in Olympus and the people who aren’t in Olympus yet,” he said.
The Twitch and Kick streamer continued on, saying that players complaining about him are “fat in real life,” while also calling them “snowflakes” for complaining.
“What’s crazy is that these people are so annoying that they actually have the WoW Forums agreeing with me. That’s crazy,” he added. “I am so glad to see people pushing back on this.”
