In One Piece chapter 1194, released officially on September 28, 2026, in Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump Issue 44, Eiichiro Oda officially confirmed that Omen is the counter to Conqueror's Haki and resists it. This makes Nerona Imu a deadly rival to all those who wield the power of the Supreme King Haki.
One Piece chapter 1194 was significant for the character of Roronoa Zoro, as it was here that he finally understood what it meant to wield the Color of the Supreme King and finally tap into it in battle. While Zoro initially struggled to use this Haki against Saint Sommers of the Holy Knights, he finally managed to tap into it and coat his body as well as his blades in it. In the process, Zoro managed to launch several attacks at Sommers that were coated in the Color of the Supreme King. Quite clearly, if these attacks hit Sommers, it would leave lasting damage, slowing down his regeneration for good and leaving him open to being stabbed in the heart with Conqueror's Haki.

When Zoro unleashed his 1080 Pound Phoenix at Sommers, coated in Conqueror's Haki, the latter retaliated using the power of Omen that Nerona Imu granted to him in One Piece Chapter 1180. For those who do not remember, Omen is an ability that exists within all living things, according to Nerona Imu. It is a power of corruption that significantly boosts one's abilities. Thanks to Imu's Akuma no Mi, which was introduced to us in One Piece chapter 1179 on April 5, 2026, in Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump Issue 19, Imu can make full use of the powers of Omen. He can also grant it to his subordinates, as was clearly seen in the climax of the Elbaf arc.
