The Resonants are powerful boss entities that players can fight in almost every region of Control Resonant. All of these Resonants have quests associated with them, and some have you exploring the regions in order to access the area where the boss is located. The Underpass Resonant quest also has some confusing parts related to finding a key, and the guide below covers a full walkthrough.
After acquiring the quest, you can Fast Travel to the Spire travel point if you have already unlocked it. If not, then simply follow the marker, making your way across the platforms and alternating landscapes. Once you reach the location, head up to find enemies by the entrance and deal with them. Afterwards, go through the gap to find yourself inside the Astral Plane.
You'll need to use the Shift ability a lot here, so head to the main column, then run to the end to find a door. This door is locked and requires a key, which will not be marked on your minimap, so you will have to do some exploring of your own. While facing away from the door, head down the right path.
While on this route, you will come across some new enemies that are more tanky, so deal with them before proceeding ahead. When you reach the second box that triggers the ground to impale spikes, head towards the right path and keep going straight to find the key. Make your way back to open the door, and you will find another locked door behind it.
To find the second key, while facing away from the door, go straight all the way to the end. You will need to jump the gap, and then you will find some enemies, followed by a spike area and then another enemy encounter.
After dealing with the enemies, jump up ahead, and when you reach the chair and TV, use Shift to go down twice, then jump to the other side to get the key. Head back to the door and open it with the Astral Key you got, and you will find another locked door behind it.
For the third key, while facing away from the door, go ahead until you see the platforms on your left. Ignore the first one and float and jump towards the second one. You will need to chase a box that is teleporting away, which will spawn enemies up ahead. Deal with them and go ahead to find a Health Upgrade before finding the third key.
Grab all the resources and make your way back to the locked door to open it, and you can go on ahead to initiate the Resonant boss fight. Once you defeat the boss, you will get the option to choose between the Spike or Astral Rebuke (Combat Ability). You will also get the Untapped Golden Earrings (Artifact Recipe).
