By the time you reach the end of your first Marvel's Wolverine playthrough, you'll probably still be a few levels shy of hitting the level cap, which is required to unlock the Ultimate Predator Trophy. You could dive straight into a New Game Plus playthrough to grab those couple of levels if you really want to, but there's a much easier and faster way.
This Marvel's Wolverine XP farming method will allow you to gain a few hundred XP every minute, thus helping you to get to player level 36 without too much of a grind. Alternatively, you could just find an area with a ton of enemies and environmental hazards and restart from the previous checkpoint just before killing the last one, if you'd prefer.
The fastest way to earn XP in Marvel's Wolverine is during the "I'm Still Here" main story mission. About ten minutes in, there's a section where you need to destroy some portals. However, if you don't destroy the portals, you'll find yourself up against an endless supply of enemies, allowing you to rip and tear your way closer to the level cap and your platinum trophy.
Better still, if you destroy the first two portals but leave the other ones active, the enemies that teleport in will all be sentinels. Not only do Sentinels grant significantly more XP than regular enemies (100 for the large ones and 50 for the smaller ones), but if you parry a projectile attack from a sentinel, you'll temporarily unlock hot claws, allowing you to deal significantly more damage than you normally would.
I went from Level 35 to Level 36 in just five minutes using this method, which is significantly faster than some of the other methods that I've seen being discussed online.
If you haven't reached this point in the story yet, you can instead find an enclosed area with lots of enemies and a few environmental hazards, then restart the checkpoint before killing the last one. The refinery in "Raise Some Hell" is good for this (kick all of the enemies into the molten metal), as is the plane section at the beginning of "Jetlag" (kick the enemies out of the plane).
The max level in a regular playthrough of Marvel's Wolverine is 36. While playing in New Game Plus mode, the level cap is increased to 40.
