Brought to you by Rebel Wolves and Bandai Namco, The Blood of Dawnwalker is preparing to storm onto the RPG scene as an open-world dark fantasy action RPG set in 14th-century Europe. You step into the world as Coen, who is a human by day and vampire by night, which opens up two differing gameplay loops with unique abilities to choose from. Every action influences the world around you as you forge your own path in a world full of mystery and adventure.
As the highly anticipated release of The Blood of Dawnwalker approaches, the development team have been drip-feeding fans with more details about the game. This includes gameplay mechanics, the characters you’ll encounter, the difficulty settings available to choose from, and so much more. Of course, key elements such as specifics of the story and the secrets you’ll discover along the way are being kept under wraps.
A now deleted video previously uploaded on the Dawnwalker YouTube channel revealed that Blood of Dawnwalker wouldn’t feature a 60 FPS performance mode on console at launch. Instead, PS5 and the XBOX Series X would have Quality and Balanced modes. Quality would deliver Dynamic 4K at 30 FPS, and Balanced aimed for Dynamic 4K at 40 FPS.
Fans were quick to pick up on this, and voiced their concerns at the lack of 60 FPS support in The Blood of Dawnwalker.
Those protests have now been addressed, as confirmed in a post via the official Dawnwalker X account, where it was announced that the game “will receive a Performance Mode targeting 60 FPS on PS5, PS5 Pro, and XBOX Series X on Day 1 through the launch patch.”
According to the team, “Performance Mode was already in the works, but it was still being tested. We simply weren’t ready to promise it yet.”
“We heard your feedback. It was clear how much this mattered to many of you, so we focused on finishing the next round of tests. Those results gave us the confidence we needed to confirm Performance Mode for Day 1.”
To break this down further, The Blood of Dawnwalker on PS5 and XBOX Series X played on Performance mode will target 60 FPS, Balanced 40 FPS, and Quality sits at 30 FPS. PlayStation 5 Pro also provides overall visual enhancements.
