The Blood of Dawnwalker barely finished popping the champagne on a seven-figure debut before its studio started hunting for its next storyteller.
Rebel Wolves, the ex-Witcher 3 crew behind the game, watched it sail past a million sales in under three days and land glowing reviews from critics who called it a rare feat for a brand-new IP. A studio with that kind of runway doesn’t sit still, and it looks like this one’s no different.
The studio posted a listing for a Lead Writer who will join its Narrative Team in Warsaw or remotely and report to Narrative Director Jakub Szamałek to “craft the next chapter in the Dawnwalker saga.”
Whoever lands the job will manage a team of writers, shape dialogue and cutscenes, and help keep the lore straight as Rebel Wolves builds out whatever comes after Coen’s story wraps. The posting asks for someone with a documented track record and the leadership chops to run a room full of writers.
That ambition tracks with what Rebel Wolves had already said back in June, when the studio teased a Dawnwalker saga that stretches across centuries and continents, complete with a CGI trailer that yanked Coen clean out of the 14th century and dropped him somewhere closer to the present day.
Narrative Director Jakub Szamałek called it an epic series in the making, one where the world itself changes shape between entries. A vampire hunting monsters in medieval Europe is one story, but doing that again, several centuries over, without repeating a single beat, is a different writing problem altogether, and apparently one Rebel Wolves wants extra hands to help solve.
