Newest LE SSERAFIM Overwatch skins include multiple newer heroes, and players seem thrilled thus far

All the girls (and Mizuki) are girling, girling.

K-pop mega group LE SSERAFIM’s new line of Overwatch skins, the third in a series, were revealed earlier today and fans are foaming at the mouth for them already.

The girl group’s new song “Made My Night” drops the day before BlizzCon on Sept. 11, and a new set of five skins will become available to purchase in-game the following day to coincide with the convention’s opening ceremony. LE SSERAFIM will then close out the show on Sunday with a performance of their own, echoing their debut at the last in-person BlizzCon in 2023.

We are SO back!! 🤩🎉Join the party when the Overwatch x @le_sserafim collab returns with brand new skins, emotes, in-game challenges, and more. Your favorite girlies arrive for a limited time on Sept 12! 🪩 pic.twitter.com/fi0OEqqcUD

For Overwatch players specifically (there’s unsurprisingly a big crossover between K-pop fans and OW gamers), many are thrilled with the selection of heroes getting new outfits this time around. Whenever a collab is announced, players debate who should get skins, but for the most part, they seem to be happy with the selection this time around.

From left to right in the image above, it’s Mizuki, Freja, D.Mon, Anran, Sierra, and Moira. Four of the six are new characters that have been introduced this year, while Freja and Moira have big fanbases of their own and don’t get many great skins too often.

Of course, not everyone is happy. New hero Shion has many fans upset that she hasn’t gotten a skin for the collab, but you truly can’t please everyone. I am also let down that we have not yet gotten a sassy LSF Reinhardt skin featuring a giant “FIMBONG” light stick hammer. Maybe next time.

Next weekend’s BlizzCon return is years in the making, and it’s expected some new projects and announcements will be shown off on top of the skins, a live stream from BlizzCon presumably featuring the Fimmies, and more. The collab is extensive again this time around, with teasers from the group showing Omnic Gwishin enemies included in the fray.
