Limbus Company's Best Sinking Identities

Limbus Company's Best Sinking Identities

In Limbus Company, most team builds rely on a Status effect to unify their effects and ensure the whole team grows in strength together. Alongside the conditionals for Skills, each Status either buffs the team or debuffs the enemy differently, with Sinking potentially being the strongest straight out of the box. To help with team building, I've put together a showcase of 10 of the best Sinking IDs to build your team around in Limbus Company!

Sinking lowers the enemy's Sanity Points alongside their HP when activated, opting instead for bonus HP damage if the enemy doesn't have Sanity. Sanity is the make or break when it comes to winning Clashes, so tanking the enemy's before a Clash even starts can turn a tough battle into a cakewalk, as long as you can keep up the chain.

The very first unit I'll talk about is Molar Boatworks Fixer Ishmael, an ID that, while she doesn't provide any big finishers or great damage on her own, is an amazing enabler. Ishmael, on first look, applies decent Sinking, but her passive makes it even better. Sinking Count is the make or break for Sinking teams, especially when most heavy hitters are multihits.

With Molar Boatworks Fixer Ishmael, as long as the enemy has enemy Tremor, all her attacks apply 1 additional Sinking Count, making her at worst neutral, and at best incredibly positive. Ishmael can provide mountains of Sinking Count, allowing other members of the team to go hog wild without having to worry about breaking the stack.

Season 4's Capstone ID still holds its own as a solid DPS in a proper Sinking lineup, with great damage, nice AOEs, and fantastic long battle scaling thanks to his Coffin mechanic. As long as Heathcliff lands the final blow on an enemy, he'll gain a stack of Coffin. Being the sad guy of the party does work!

Coffin increases Heathcliff's Speed, Clash Power, and Damage based on his stacks, allowing him to grow stronger and stronger as long as he's got a constant supply of chaff. Heathcliff can also sacrifice his SP to mount Dullahan, his steed. As long as he's on Dullahan, he'll deal more and more damage in exchange for worse SP drain each turn. If he's provided for, he can hold his own easily. A personal favorite!

Index Don Quixote is another super solid damage unit, playing less with Sinking than her Poise and her unique Prescript sub-objectives. Once she's awoken her EGO, Don deals massive amounts of damage, and can absolutely tank the enemy's Sanity if the Sinking stack has been maintained.

Sadly, Don doesn't assist much with maintaining the stack, but she's a great DPS who needs less work than Wild Hunt Heathcliff to get online, allowing her to thrive in single target battles and pay off the rest of the team's work with constant DPS and plenty of multihits. A very solid addition once you have your baseline.
