Dragon Ball: 7 Strongest 1-Hit Kill Attacks, Ranked

Dragon Ball features some of the deadliest attacks in anime history. Even some of the weakest Dragon Ball characters can kill the average human with a simple Ki blast. At the highest level, Dragon Ball's strongest characters can not only endure blows from the series' most lethal attacks, they have their own one-shot techniques that can win them a fight instantly.

The strongest 1-hit kill attacks in Dragon Ball are often hard to pull off, but that's for good reason – they'll end any fight instantly. Some even have the potential and power to destroy the multiverse. It's a good thing Dragon Ball's main characters are martial artists who love fighting, otherwise the top level battles would all end with one blow.

The Destructo Disc is one of the most powerful attacks in the entire franchise – so strong, in fact, it's never actually been allowed to connect. The Destructo Disc was originally developed by Krillin for the fight against the Saiyans. By concentrating all his Ki into the palm of his hand, Krillin can flatten it into a razor-sharp disc capable of killing anyone.

Krillin nearly kills both Nappa and Frieza with Destructo Discs, but he misses both times. The Dragon Ball Z anime includes a scene where Perfect Cell tanks a Destructo Disc, but this is non-canon. So long as the target cannot regenerate, the Destructo Disc will kill it it connects directly.

The Death Beam is one of Frieza's signature abilities, if only for how iconic he utilizes it while on Namek. During the saga's final battle, he uses the Death Beam to kill both Dende and Vegeta. Interestingly, the tip of the Death Beam can be adjusted for different effects. When killing Dende, Frieza's Death Beam explodes like a Ki blast.

Against Vegeta, however, Frieza's Death Beam just pierces right through his heart, killing him. Cell later uses a Death Beam to kill Future Trunks. The Death Beam will insta-kill anyone it connects with... so long as their Power Level is higher. As seen when Frieza fought Super Saiyan Goku, the Death Beam can be tanked. Now that Black Frieza is the strongest mortal in the series, though, the Death Beam has reclaimed its one-hit kill status.

The Spirit Bomb has never successfully killed anyone, but the Super Spirit Bomb from the end of Dragon Ball Z was strong enough to overpower Kid Buu physically and fast enough to kill him before his regeneration could kick in. What differentiates the Super Spirit Bomb from the regular Spirit Bomb is the sheer volume of Genki in the former.
