Help Sophia safely cross all spike traps by using the sphere to reveal the correct symbols and hidden path in Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy. Chapter 4 is full of surprises and contains many riddles. It is also where you unlock the sphere's first feature.
While trying to unlock a door, Sophia manages to insert the key into a mechanic that shoves a special mirror into the sphere. This allows you to see secrets by reflecting the sphere's mirror while standing in a light source. Here's how to use it to safely cross the spike traps in Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy.
The first spike trap appears right after the second symbols puzzle, where you need to follow the confusing trail to see the correct letters. After a fight with a couple of soldiers, proceed forward and open a door to arrive at the first spike trap puzzle.
The solution here is to look at both walls and memorize the four symbols. These are the symbols you need to look for to pass safely through the trap. Don't worry if you forget anything, because Sophia draws them inside her book. Keep in mind that the sphere only works when you are standing in a light source. This means when trying to cross the tiles, it won't work, so you have to remember the correct path.
To pass through the first section in Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy, go to the left tiles and walk in a straight line.
The second section is a bit trickier. After checking the correct path, head to the tiles on the right and walk two tiles forward, turn left then walk one, and turn to center to walk the final tile.
The third trap section is a bit easier to navigate. There are six symbols on the wall, and only one of them is correct. While facing the spike trap, look left at the symbol that looks like two triangles and insert the sphere in the socket.
Upon moving on to the next room, you will see the entire area is filled with traps and there is one manual light source. Approach the platform and help Leni up, as she's going to control the light.
