Minecraft Dungeons 2 provides multiple benefits from leveling, including: better loot, Enchantment Points, and more. As you journey through the overworld, and the new Sift dimension, you'll get stronger. When the levels start climbing, you may wonder just how high you can go. This guide has the answers, as well as all the information about the milestones in Minecraft Dungeons 2.
The level cap in Minecraft Dungeons 2 at launch is 100. This will take some time, but you can naturally get there by playing through the game and completing endgame activities.
Every level grants 1 enhancement point, for a total of 99. This is more than enough to enchant every gear slot, even if they are all Unique. Leveling also increases the max item power of drops, up to Item Power 150.
Gear can only be upgraded to 149, however, so there is still a benefit to farming gear in the endgame.
The game does not give much detail on the benefits of leveling, but you will occasionally see "Milestone Reached" appear on your screen while playing. This increases the quality of item drops, gives a higher chance to find Unique items, and makes mobs stronger.
The loot rewards are nice, but the mobs getting stronger can make things pretty difficult. There is no way to change this or go down a tier, but you can adjust the game's difficulty in the Settings. Game difficulty does not affect loot, it only changes how much damage you deal and take.
