Pokemon fans will soon be able to spend the night in a Poke Ball that will appear in the Japanese countryside, thanks to an exciting new collab.
Have you ever wondered what it would be like to stay inside Poke Ball? Well, The Pokemon Company is finally answering this age-old question by letting fans sleep in the series’ iconic monster-catching capsules.
The gigantic spherical sleeping pod will appear in Hokkaido, Japan, a place known for its incredibly beautiful countryside and the setting of Ghost of Yotei. So, if you are lucky enough to snag a stay in this sleepy retreat, it will definitely be a night to remember.
According to the translated press release, the Poke Ball hotels have been made in collaboration with Not A Hotel and Pokemon Sleep. For those who don’t know, Not A Hotel is a Japanese luxury hospitality and property company that operates high-end vacation homes.
Because of this, it’s best to think of the hotel pod as more of a Luxury Ball experience, rather than your regular basic Poke Ball (yes, I said it!). Judging from the brief video and official images, the pod features a large circular bed that can fit two people and a glass viewing window that lets you look out upon forest scenery.
This makes it perfect for sleepy trainers looking for a weekend getaway with that special someone, or maybe those who want to chill out with an oversized Pokemon plushie or two.
Regardless of whether you’re spending the night with man or monster, the Poke Ball hotel looks perfect for a cosy night. Well, that’s if you’re lucky enough to be selected.
All Pokemon fans who wish to experience a night in the sleeping pod will need to fill out an application, which will be announced on September 15, 2026. The website also notes that further details on the Poke Ball’s interior features and experience will also be announced on this day.
