Loot Merge is a mechanic for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt - Remastered within the Accessibility Settings, and it's something new that you might not have seen before. Loot Merge makes it so that when you kill multiple enemies, all of their loot is shared in one lootable corpse, so you won't have to check them individually. Since it's not exactly explained to you what it does, we'll go ahead and give you a quick overview of what this mechanic is so you can determine if you want it enabled or not!
Loot Merge will merge all the loot from nearby enemies into one pile, meaning you can defeat a group of enemies, loot any one of them, and they will share the same loot pool. This means you don't have to loot every dead enemy individually, as you can now just loot one, and they will have all the items of their other allies.
This is great for Hanse Base farming, as this money exploit method has dozens of enemies at a time, so you can save time by looting just one corpse instead of every fallen enemy! I'd recommend turning Loot Merge on, as it will save you time in looting, especially if one enemy is a tad further away from the rest (or you forget to grab them before moving on).
This mechanic does not apply to lootable containers, as you will still have to loot these individually.
Enabling Loot Merge will not disable achievements, so feel free to check out our trophy guide for The Witcher 3 (including DLC).
