Liquid Frost is a type of material introduced to Valheim by the Deep North update, and despite its fancy name, it's essentially just cold coal. To get Liquid Frost, you need to throw in some Ice inside a Frigid Kiln. Wait a few moments for the kiln to do its work, and you'll get yourself some fresh Liquid Frost. However, if you want to make tons of Liquid Frost fast in Valheim, you'll need to secure enough Ice to get multiple Frigid Kilns working at peak efficiency.
Ice is pretty easy to get up in the Deep North biome. Go to the shores of any island here, and you'll find plenty of ice sheets separating the ocean and the beaches. Hit the ice sheets with your pickaxe, and they'll break into individual Ice shards that you can use to fuel your Frigid Kilns.
Getting Ice from the frozen shorelines can be a little tricky, though, since you're essentially breaking the surfaces that you're standing on. I strongly recommend breaking ice with your boat nearby, or start by cracking the ice along the shoreline itself. This keeps individual Ice shards from falling into the water. The shards will float, but you'll be forced to jump into the water to get them, and if you run out of stamina while in the water, you're going to drown.
You won't be able to jump from the water and up onto an ice sheet, which is why I recommend having your boat nearby or starting by the beach.
Ice in Valheim also drops from monsters in the Deep North. Skeletons and Greydwarves tend to drop some upon death, and there's usually plenty of them in the Deep North's surface. There are also frozen ponds that you can mine for Ice without having to deal with water.
If you're struggling with the cold, make sure to prepare some Frost Resistance Meads and a warm cape.
Go back to your base, then place down a Frigid Kiln. Behind it, you'll find a small loading port where you can dump all the Ice you've gathered. Put the Ice in the slot, then wait for a few moments. Liquid Frost will soon pop out of the Frigid Kiln's output slot. You need 5 Ice to make 1 Liquid Frost.
Ideally, you should have multiple Frigid Kilns in your base if you want to make Liquid Frost quickly. If you already have a Frost Foundry built in your base, consider dismantling it first and use the refunded materials to make another Frigid Kiln. Once you have enough Liquid Frost, build your Frost Foundry again so you can start crafting Valheim's Deep North armor.
