Publisher Shueisha Games and developer historia have released new information and gameplay for psychological adventure game UN:Me, introducing the game’s soul-erasing choices, unstable world, distinct souls, and more.
■ “Only One Can Remain”: Choosing and Erasing Souls
At first, the souls have lost their memories and no longer remember who they are. All they have left is the unwavering belief that they are the body’s rightful owner.
Players must search the unstable world for “Memory Fragments,” each one revealing new questions to ask the souls. Through these conversations, players gradually piece together their identities, uncover their pasts, and determine which soul truly belongs to the body. Ultimately, they must make the final choice of which soul to keep and which to “erase.”
■ An Unstable World. A “Self” That Changes Unpredictably
To recover the souls’ Memory Fragments, players must explore a strange and unstable world where control is never guaranteed. The souls within the girl can suddenly take over her body, regardless of the player’s intentions.
Each soul carries different traumas and possesses unique abilities, changing the threats players face, the actions they can take, and even the areas they can reach. Adapting to whoever takes control becomes part of navigating the labyrinth.
