Solo Leveling's anime is skipping 2026, with the next big project expected to be released in 2027, titled Solo Leveling: Beyond the System. That said, not getting new anime content doesn't mean 2026 isn't going to be an exciting year for the franchise. All the fans of the Solo Leveling franchise are eager to learn new secrets and lore never seen before in the story.
Through Solo Leveling Karma, we will finally get to fully explore the 27-Year Monarch War that has been left untouched for 8 years now. The 27-Year Monarch War is worked on by Chugong himself in collaboration with Netmarble, and is set to bring forward new, exciting characters, one of whom is stronger than Sung Jinwoo. This new character is Azarea, Goddess of Benevolence. First revealed in Solo Leveling Karma's visuals, we now know that she is a powerful goddess of the Solo Leveling world, possibly an Itarim, with godly power that surpasses anything Jinwoo has yet to achieve.
Solo Leveling Karma was first announced to us in 2025. This game is headed by Netmarble Studio, a South Korean gaming studio responsible for the two previous video games of the Solo Leveling franchise — Solo Leveling Arise and Solo Leveling Arise Overdrive. Solo Leveling Karma, however, is set to be the biggest of the three. This new game is now closer than ever to release, as it is planned for a 2026 debut. Because of how close the game is to being released now, we have been getting tidbits of new information and new content every once in a while. On August 28, 2026, Solo Leveling Karma actually revealed to us a full description of a character that fans had a lot of interest in, and this character is Azarea.
Azarea was first teased during Anime Expo 2026, when she was included in the Key Visual of the Solo Leveling Karma game. Now, we finally know more about her. Solo Leveling Karma gives her the title of “Goddess of Benevolence.” Based on info revealed by Solo Leveling Karma, she is a character who will meet Jinwoo in the dimensional crack. There, she will be of assistance to him, but she may also need his help sometimes. More interestingly, the game also calls her a Goddess of Deceit, which could make for an interesting twist later on in the game. To be able to assist Jinwoo and to even survive in a dimensional crack that is overtaken and run by the powerful Monarchs of Solo Leveling, one must be strong. As a Goddess, Azarea definitely possesses immense strength, and there is also a chance that she will be playable in the game.
At the moment, we don't know the exact power level of Azarea, the Goddess of Benevolence. This is because the game has yet to come out, and all we know about her comes through the small tidbits in her description. However, going off what we already know from the original Solo Leveling series, Azarea could not only be immensely powerful but also a being far above the current skill of Sung Jinwoo.
“With unmatched elegance and a merciful smile, she naturally evokes the image of a savior to anyone who beholds her. When sadness crossed her face, it felt as though the whole world wept with her. When she spoke of hope, she shone brighter than anyone else. As Sung Jinwoo continues his endless battle with the Monarchs in the Dimensional Gap, Azarea naturally presents herself before him. At times she acts as a reliable ally, and at other times as a helpless soul in need of rescue. Yet what remains hidden behind that beautiful smile is something no one has figured out.” — Azarea Official Description via Solo Leveling Karma
That is because, as a goddess, Azarea is likely the first official member of the Itarim revealed to us in Solo Leveling after the Absolute Being. The Itarim, also known as the Outer Gods, are the ultimate beings. They are superior beings from another plane of existence, and their power is such that they are able to create universes. The Absolute Being is the one who created the universe Sung Jinwoo lives in. Azarea, as a Goddess, could have powers of the same scale. With such immense powers, she would trump not only Jinwoo but everyone else in the Solo Leveling universe.
However, it must be mentioned that the Azarea that we specifically see in Solo Leveling Karma, incarnated as a blue-haired woman, might not be the full extent of the strength of the Goddess. This Azarea could only possess a small chunk of the true power of the Itarim, sent forward to keep an eye on Jinwoo and see his new triumph over Antares. This explains why she would, later down the line, need help from Sung Jinwoo.
