How Long To Beat Onimush Way Of The Sword

How Long To Beat Onimush Way Of The Sword

Onimusha: Way of the Sword is an action-focused Samurai game by Capcom where you'll be cutting down Genma, collecting souls, and, naturally, saving the world. The real question here is: how long does one have to play until they can safely say they've completed Way Of The Sword?

Onimusha is one of Capcom's beloved IPs from the PlayStation 2 era, so we were curious to see what they will do with this reboot and if it would take us more than a weekend to beat. Well, we finished the game, we had a lot of fun, and here's how long it took us.

It takes roughly 30 hours to finish Onimusha: Way Of The Sword. This includes:

We played the game on the Action (Combat Focused) difficulty, and refused to lower it because we really liked what Capcom had done with this reboot (and so we can flex just a little bit, obviously).

If we had prepared better for some bosses, and skipped all the cutscenes, we probably could have done everything in around 25 hours.

To 100 percent Onimusha: Way of the Sword, you need to:

Finishing the main story with all the side-content should take you around 30 to 35 hours, while another playthrough shouldn't take you more than 20 hours, likely even less (provided you carried all your upgrades to the new game). According to howlongtobeat.com it takes about 45 to 100 percent the game, but in our experience, this is only if you're playing the game optimally while using guides. In reality, it should take you around 50 hours to finish everything in Onimusha: Way Of The Sword.

This depends on how familiar you are with action games. Onimusha: Way Of The Sword is much easier than Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, but definitely harder than Ghost of Tsushima / Ghost of Yotei.
