Marvel's Wolverine has been available on PlayStation 5 for a short amount of time, but the game's sales seem to be off to a strong start. The latest PS5 exclusive from Insomniac Games, Marvel's Wolverine puts players in the role of the titular hero. Wolverine has long been one of the most popular Marvel characters, possibly only second to Spider-Man. Like Spider-Man, Wolverine has starred in several video games since the '80s, both as one of the X-Men, and in his own solo games.
According to estimates from Rhys Elliot of Alinea Analytics, Marvel's Wolverine is the sixth highest-grossing new game released on PS5 in 2026. That estimate comes just three days after the game's launch. Important to note, the number accounts strictly for gross revenue, which is estimated to be $130 million. The top spot on the list still belongs to Resident Evil Requiem, which currently sits at $231 million. Marvel's Wolverine has received mixed reception, but Elliot notes that the game could find continued success as a direct result of the X-Men's introduction in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
