The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Remastered will incorporate mods made by the community.
Creator of The Witcher 3 HD Reworked Project NextGen Edition HalkHogan has now shared that he worked with CD Projekt Red on the game on the Nexus Mods forum.
“It’s been a while since the last news and I would like to clarify any questions and confirm that I am cooperating with CDPR on the Witcher 3 Remaster and my work will be officially available in the game on September 29th (on PC and consoles), HDRP will no longer be needed,” HalkHogan stated.
“Almost all in-game characters, monsters, animals, vegetation, armors and equipment for Geralt & Roach, and a large part of the environment have been reworked and I’ve put a lot of effort into ensuring the highest quality.”
HalkHogan’s original HD Reworked Project – now dubbed the “OldGen Edition” – for The Witcher 3 was incorporated into the game’s next-gen update, so this isn’t the first time the modder has collaborated with the studio.
CD Projekt Red has released more gameplay footage from The Witcher 3 Remastered as part of its Gamescom 2026 stream showcase.
Geralt of Rivia is also set to feature in Diablo 4 as an in-game skin.
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Remastered is set for launch on September 29, 2027.
