Fortnite's annual Fortnitemares event kicks off with one of the biggest content lineups ever, with the arrival of a whole host of content, from Five Nights at Freddy's both on the island and in the Item Shop, along with other collaborations, unique bosses, and more. Another update also means that even more Sprites are appearing on the island, with the health-siphoning Vampire Sprite entering the mix. Here is where to find it and how it works.
While the Vampire Sprite can be dropped from Cheat Codes and Chests, it is relatively rare. However, for a better chance at getting it, try smashing Pumpkins found around the map for a chance to get one. The Vampire Sprite also appears to be more common drop from eliminating any Fortnitemares boss, particularly the FNAF animatronics, making Freddy Fazbear's Pizzeria a good spot to search.
Variants of the Vampire Sprite, including the Cheat Master version and more, can also drop from Cheat Codes, but have a much higher drop rate when opening Legendary ones, along with all the previously mentioned options. You can also get the Bounty Hunter version of the Sprite through eliminations, but only if you already have another Bounty Hunter equipped.

The Vampire Sprite is very similar to the Demon Sprite from Fortnite Runners in the sense that it allows you to Siphon health and shield from your enemies. When equipped, a percentage of the damage you deal to enemies will restore both Health and Shield. The amount you gain back will increase with each level, capping out at 50% Siphon for the damage dealt to any enemy at level 5. This should also count for NPCs, including those that guard the Override Cartridges.
As for how to level up the Vampire Sprite, standard XP rules apply. The only exception here is the Bounty Hunter Vampire Sprite, which requires you to earn Sprite XP from eliminations only, including NPCs. As a reminder, Sprite XP is doubled on Mastery Mondays, making it the best time to level up your Sprites.
