As if all of this week's Direct shenanigans weren't enough, Nintendo yesterday released a surprise Switch 2 system update, adding VRR modes when playing on the TV. But what would such a feature be if it didn't appear in Nintendo Switch 2 Welcome Tour, eh? Worry not, the game has been updated too.
The Welcome Tour Ver. 1.1.0 update was released this morning, tweaking the game's VRR Slider demo so that it can now also be played while the console is docked. You'll need to make sure that you've updated your Switch 2 Dock to do so, and you'll need a VRR-compatible screen, of course, but otherwise, the demo is yours to explore... on the telly!
There's the usual mysterious note about "other issues" being fixed in this update too, but in true Nintendo fashion, the company didn't share any more details.
The full patch notes were shared on the Nintendo Support site, and we have gathered them together for you to check out below.
Not the biggest patch, it's true, but it's nice to know that Nintendo isn't letting the game go out of date as the system continues to be updated.
You'll find the full rundown of the system update 23.0.0 patch notes below.
