Last year's Football Manager 26 came in for quite a lot of controversy when it released, with players criticising the significant changes to the game's UI in particular following the switch to the Unity engine, and developer Sports Interactive has spent much of the past 12 months trying to address fan feedback in time for Football Manager 27.
That makes the latest entry in the series more significant than usual, with Sports Interactive prioritising features such as a "cleaner interface" with "smoother flow", a deeper level of immersion across the board, and significant enhancements to the 3D match engine in terms of updates to crowds, weather, lighting and much more.
We've also now got a release date! Football Manager 27 will be available from November 10th on PC, while Football Manager 27 Console also launches the same day on Xbox. Both of these versions will be accessible via both Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass on day one.
This means we've now got three Xbox Game Pass titles locked in for November as things stand, with the other two being a 1-4 player co-op action builder called Gravhounds and a minimalist strategy game known as Thronefall.
There's obviously a lot more to be announced for November in the weeks ahead, but it might end up looking like a slightly strange month for Game Pass overall, as Rockstar Games will be stealing the spotlight with GTA 6 on the 19th. That one's obviously not launching on XGP, but it'll deter other titles from launching next to it.
