The Pokémon artist James Turner, who previously worked at Game Freak and also released The Plucky Squire, has announced he's now in a new role at The Pokémon Company International.
In an announcement on social media, he revealed he'll be taking on the position of "Creative Director of Pokémon Art and Design" and is excited about what comes next:
James Turner: "Big news! I’ve started a new role as Creative Director of Pokémon Art and Design at The Pokémon Company International. It feels great to be working in the world of Pokémon again, with a lovely group of people. I’m very excited about what comes next!"
Turner previously worked on Pokémon Sword & Shield as the game's art director. The studio he co-founded (All Possible Futures) released The Plucky Squire on the Switch and other platforms in 2024.
The Pokémon Company is currently working on the next generation Pokémon Winds & Waves, which will launch exclusively for the Switch 2 in 2027.
