To get Inferlupa in Aniimo, players need to complete a series of Journey Quests, including Warrior, which requires players to find Unbroken Flameruff Spirits. These consumables are obtained in a very special way, after following a certain number of steps. Unbroken Flameruff Spirits can be obtained from the Undefeated Flameruff Wild Aniimo NPCs located in the withered forest on Beast Fang Ridge. This is part of the Legend of Beast Fang Ridge Journey Quests, which will require players to wait until Nighttime, and talk to the Chatty Flameruff three days in a row (3 real-life days).
Players can then find the Inferlupa that roams the Withered Forest Clearing to complete another part of the quest, and subsequent talks with this old warrior will unlock new parts of the quest, including that which unlocks the spawns for the Flameruffs you need to defeat to get their Spirits. Undefeated Flameruffs appear only by day, in the exact same spot where Inferlupa is at night.
Once players defeat the six Flameruffs and obtain their spirits, they will have to complete the other Journey Quests and defeat Inferlupa once more. After a brief Cutscene, convince Inferlupa that it is still worth fighting and keep getting stronger to receive his blessing, and finally unlock Inferlupa's branching evolution for Flameruff.
Only Regular Flameruff can evolve into Inferlupa, all other Flameruff variants can only evolve into Scorchhowl and their respective variants.
