Over the past week, Rockstar has been dealing with an unprecedented leak, the likes of which the industry will probably never see again. At the center of the whole controversy is a leaker who goes by the name CyberLeeks, and for all intents and purposes, they are a sentient leek dressed up in sci-fi gear, usually rocking sunglasses. Yes, it's all very strange.
For the past week, CyberLeeks has been posting gameplay footage of GTA 6 onto social media, each video getting more and more complex as time goes on. It was eventually discovered that CyberLeeks has what appears to be a build of the game in their possession, and their latest leak had them going around a nudist party staring at private parts.
As part of that latest leak, CyberLeek issued what was essentially a call to action, as they asked at least 10 GTA 6 fans to go to Rockstar's offices in real life and take videos of themselves holding leeks and physical game discs, protesting the game's decision to go all digital. It was an absurd ask, but somebody has already gone and done the deed, thoroughly making themselves look like a melon in the process.
First shared by a Twitter account called Reece_US, a video of a person recording themselves outside the Rockstar North offices in Edinburgh has been passed around social media. In this video, the person holds up a leak and shouts, "Enough is enough, release the beach leaks for all the incels." They then take a massive bite of a leak and hold it in their gob for a few seconds.
From what I can see, it does appear to be a real video, as someone else managed to capture this moment via a different angle, and it plays out the same. It's a pretty bizarre set of circumstances, really driving home just how ridiculous this leak situation has become, and hopefully it doesn't encourage more people to start being a nuisance outside official places of business.
