Solo Leveling is a new fan favorite IP brought to us straight from South Korea. This legendary novel, turned manhwa, and now anime, has taken the world by storm. Because of its massive success, we are looking forward to its biggest 2026 project, Solo Leveling: Karma by Netmarble Studio, which is set to be released in the upcoming months.
While we remain without an exact release date, we are excited to see Solo Leveling: Karma present at the next big gaming show, the Tokyo Game Show. The Tokyo Game Show is kicking off on September 17, 2026, and there, major new information, including the release date, a new trailer, and new in-game content, is expected to be unveiled to the masses after a long and tedious wait.
Tokyo Game Show is one of the most-anticipated shows revolving around gaming in Japan. This event was first inaugurated in 1996, and since then, it has been a yearly occurrence in Japan. Typically, the show focuses on video games coming directly from Japanese companies, but foreign companies can also be involved. For this year, the Tokyo Game Show 2026 is fast approaching and is set to be held on September 17, 2026. It'll run until September 21, 2026. There are many exciting booths and events to look forward to at the Tokyo Game Show. However, for us fans of Solo Leveling, there is only one thing to truly be excited about.
While Solo Leveling is especially known for its manhwa adaptation by Redice Studio, as well as its anime release by Aniplex and A-1 Pictures, it has also been dipping its feet in the gaming industry. When it comes to Solo Leveling video games, the company behind it, called Netmarble Studio, has done exceedingly well for itself. The South Korean gaming studio has worked on many big hits and is especially focused on crafting video games based on popular Japanese series.
Now, Netmarble Studio has officially confirmed its involvement at the upcoming Tokyo Game Show. Specifically, it was confirmed that the gaming studio would showcase its content on July 21, 2026. The company has since created its own website, covering details and explaining what to look forward to when it comes to its booths. We know that through Netmarble's appearance, we can look forward to three major projects: Shangri-La Frontier: The Seven Colossi, Pearl In Blue, and most importantly, Solo Leveling Karma, which are set to steal the show.
Netmarble is also responsible for the previous two Solo Leveling video games, Solo Leveling: Arise and Solo Leveling: Arise Overdrive, but Solo Leveling: Karma is their most ambitious project yet, especially as it is being created with the direct involvement of the creator and is patching up major gaps in the lore of Solo Leveling.
Solo Leveling Karma is set to be featured each day of the upcoming Tokyo Game Show, but the most exciting reveals will come on September 17, 2026. As confirmed directly via the official website of Netmarble for the Tokyo Game Show, it is now confirmed that on the first day of the Tokyo Game Awards, that being September 17, 2026, Solo Leveling will have its main media showcase. This showcase is the most important chunk of the event for Solo Leveling Karma. Any major information that Netmarble studio has will be revealed during the Media Showcase.
For one, the biggest piece of information we're all missing and looking forward to knowing is the official release date. Previously, when the project was announced in 2025, we were told that it would be released sometime in 2026, but the exact date remains a mystery. We do know it is coming in the second half of 2026, but an exact release date could finally be made public on September 17.
