Nintendo and Lego have announced the third Lego set based on The Legend of Zelda series.
The set, which is officially called Lego The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time – Link & Epona, depicts the adult version of Link riding on his trusty steed from the Nintendo 64 classic (and the upcoming Switch 2 remake).
According to Nintendo, the set will be released in Spring 2027, and will consist of 1,750 pieces. This fits it somewhere between the previous two Zelda Lego sets in terms of size.
The first Lego Zelda set was the Great Deku Tree, which was released in September 2024. This contains 2,500 pieces, but not all the pieces are used for the final display piece.
That’s because it’s a 2-in-1 set, with builders able to create either the Great Deku Tree from Ocarina of Time, or the one from Breath of the Wild instead.
This was followed earlier this year with Ocarina of Time: The Final Battle, a set depicting the last boss fight in which Link goes head-to-head with Ganon. This $129.99 / £99.99 set contains 1,003 pieces, meaning the upcoming Link & Epona set is likely to be more expensive.
The Great Deku Tree set was retired on July 31 this year, meaning anyone hoping to buy it will have to do so through the resale market (eBay etc), where prices for retired sets are usually much higher.
The Legend of Zelda technically featured in one other Lego set, the Lego Game Boy released last October. This $59.99 set included two Game Boy cartridges, Super Mario Land and The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening, along with screenshots that can be applied to the Game Boy’s display to make it look like it’s running those games.
