While you have an abundance of hairstyles and clothing items, few customization options are as permanent as tattoos. If you want to get permanent artwork on your skin in GTA 5, then you need to know where to find tattoo parlors, how to use them, and, of course, how you can remove them if you change your mind! You can find the information you need below for all things tattoo-related in GTA 5.
Tattoos can be applied at Tattoo Parlors, which are found on the map via the heart icon. There are only six Tattoo Parlors, but they're easy to find, like the location marked above, as that's the Vespucci Canals, a popular spot you'll run into with all three characters. Elsewhere, you can check Sandy Shores, Downtown Vinewood, El Burro Heights, and a few other areas.
Interact with the tattoo artist inside the parlor, and you'll be shown a selection of tattoos and how they look for the following areas:
Michael, Franklin, and Trevor each have a distinct selection of tattoos, so it's not a shared pool of designs. Just remember to bring cash so you can pay for it, as pointing a gun at the tattoo artist isn't going to make them work on it for free!
There are far more tattoos in GTA Online, and these also have special unlock requirements.
Luckily, tattoos aren't permanent in GTA 5. If you change your mind later and wish to go back to the vanilla appearances of the characters, then just revisit any tattoo parlor and select the tattoo you equipped to remove it just like you would any other cosmetic in-game. Thankfully, it's not going to cost you a thing, and it's not going to take multiple sessions to remove!
