Director Konrad Tomaszkiewicz confirmed on a stream (via GamesRadar) that the game is getting a new game plus mode, but neglected to share any further details. We're not sure when it will be released or what features it may include... but rest assured, it's coming!
The Blood of Dawnwalker has a unique structure that may lend itself well to new game plus. The player has 30 in-game days to essentially complete the main goal of the story, which is to save the protagonist's family. Time passes when you complete quests, so you have to be somewhat selective about what adventures you want to go on or risk wasting your limited days.
Similarly, upgrading skills can also advance time, meaning you can't max out your character. However, if the game had new game plus, it might encourage players to replay the game over and over again until they've maxed out their character or completed every quest. It's almost like a Groundhog Day situation, in theory.
Of course, this is only speculative. We have no idea how it will look, but the entire purpose of new game plus is to add replay value by allowing players to carry over gear, skills, and other buffs to new playthroughs of the game.
