Call of Duty Modern Warfare 4 pre-orders are now live and with two editions up for grabs, a couple of bonuses to choose from, and some early discounts in the UK, things are already heating up ahead of October 23.
Here's what you need to know. Both $69.99 / £69.99 Standard and $99.99 / £99.99 Vault Edition MW4 pre-orders are now available, though retailers are adding their own bonuses onto the former. Amazon's standard edition copies also come with five hours of double XP (at launch) and Best Buy's (Currys in the UK) comes packaged up with a free steelbook. That's if you're not interested in any digital extras.

So here's what I would do. Amazon is your go-to if you're after the standard edition. You're still getting something extra in that double XP, but the site is still currently guaranteeing release day delivery. Best Buy will swap those points for a steelbook, but speedy delivery isn't confirmed as such on the listing itself.
In the UK, you'll be heading to Currys. Amazon is matching the same price, and swapping the steelbook for double XP, but strangely delivery times are a little less concrete at the time of writing. On the flip side, Currys has free release day delivery advertised with that shelf piece as well.
Amazon has its double XP offer back in action for Call of Duty Modern Warfare 4 pre-orders. That means you're getting Open Beta (with a code sent from August 21) as well as five hours of boosted XP. That's an Amazon exclusive perk, and seeing as release day delivery is up for grabs those not interested in the steelbook should be heading here first.
Physical collectors will want to head to Best Buy instead, where you'll find a free steelbook up for grabs. Shipping times are a little looser here, with current estimates put your copy arriving "on or shortly after release date." If you're nearby, though, pickup is available at launch.
Walmart and GameStop both have regular Call of Duty Modern Warfare 4 pre-orders up for grabs, though without Amazon's extra XP or Best Buy's steelbook. Walmart is still advertising launch day shipping, though.
