With the time that you'll spend on the perilous Minotaur Island as Sophia in Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy, you're bound to run into a dozen or so different puzzles and their variations. And despite the fairly linear and laser-focused initial chapters, Asobo's intuitive puzzle design mechanics come into play soon with Chapter 4.
One of the puzzles that you'll find here later on will be in a room where you'll need to input the corresponding symbol on two stone pedestals with Sophia's spherical orb. The problem is that you need to follow a glowing line across the two pedestals in a maze-like center to find the correct symbol that matches both stone pedestals.
In this short guide, I've simplified the process and provided the exact symbol for each of the two locking mechanism structures.
Alongside the two aforementioned unlocking mechanism structures for your spherical orb, there are a total of five different runes in a circle here, each with a symbol inscribed on it if you inspect it with the orb's torch mode. You can follow a hidden glowing line from both structures here using the orb's torch mode to figure out exactly which of the symbols is connected with the structure. The correct one is the one you'll need to input into both of the left and right structures, as shown above.
Now you can lock in and focus on each line to find the correct symbol yourself, but if it's giving you trouble, or you're not feeling up to it, I'll provide the exact symbols you need to input to open the door in front of Sophia and Leni.
For the right one facing the gate, the correct symbol to input is the one shown above. It is a symbol that looks like the 'F' letter. Head to the unlocking dial and interact with it, and rotate the orb until the following symbol gets inserted in the top slot with the golden arches.
Finally, for the left structure, if you're trying to figure out the correct symbol, the image above shows the proper symbol to input. For this one, you need the oval symbol with the four lines sticking out of it, the one that resembles an insect's body of sorts. Once you've input both symbols into these mechanisms, the walls next to the opening door will light up with a trailblazing line of fire to indicate that you've successfully completed this puzzle.
However, before you get a chance to head through to make your exit, you'll be ambushed by a group of enemies, so just be prepared for a combat encounter here, which can get dicey since it also features a Brute-level enemy.
