Frieza's potential is terrifying and after unlocking his Black form in the Dragon Ball Super manga, he's officially become the most powerful being in the multiverse outside the Gods. All his life, Frieza hated the Saiyans, fearing their potential so much that he eventually destroyed Planet Vegeta in the hopes that the fabled Super Saiyan would never come to pass – unfortunately for Frieza, the very Super Saiyans he feared would go on to become his waking nightmares. But not anymore.
Now that Black Frieza reigns as the strongest mortal in the multiverse, there is no Saiyan in Dragon Ball who can challenge him. Even the strongest Saiyans in the franchise would fall to Black Frieza in a fight. Heading into the Black Frieza Saga, the Z-Fighters are borderline hopeless in what could end up becoming Dragon Ball Super's final battle.
Vegeta's on a hot streak right now. His base form is stronger than Goku's, he defeated his rival at the end of Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero, and Ultra Ego arguably has more potential than Perfected Ultra Instinct, considering Vegeta immediately caught up to Goku just by unlocking it. Vegeta also gets stronger the more damage he takes and the longer he fights, which could give him a real edge over Black Frieza.
Unfortunately, the Granolah the Survivor Saga has already shown that Black Frieza could easily kill Vegeta before Ultra Ego could ever prove to be a problem. Vegeta can't even react to Black Frieza, rendering the form's Power Level growth virtually meaningless. Vegeta might very well be the one to beat Black Frieza in the end, but not without a lot of training and a huge upgrade to Ultra Ego.
Part of what makes Ultra Instinct such an amazing transformation is the fact it allows its user to dodge and counter any attack thrown their way. Ultra Instinct's reflexes are far beyond even the Gods themselves. Sadly, that didn't save Goku from Frieza. While Goku was only using True Ultra Instinct at the time, he didn't so much as react to Black Frieza's attack on himself and Vegeta.
That alone shows how wide the gulf is between Goku and Frieza. Worse, Goku's fight with Gohan Beast showed that he can be knocked out of even Perfected Ultra Instinct if he's hit hard enough. He can trigger the form back on instantly now, but if Goku loses Perfected Ultra Instinct while battling Black Frieza, he may not have enough time to transform again before he's killed.
Broly has more potential than any other Saiyan in Dragon Ball, but he doesn't have nearly as much potential as Frieza. Broly was powerful enough to force Goku and Vegeta to fuse into Gogeta just to battle him in Dragon Ball Super: Broly. In Dragon Ball Super Chapter 103, Broly also unlocks True Legendary Super Saiyan, which means he's officially surpassed Super Saiyan Blue Gogeta. Even that isn't enough, though.
