Silent Hill Townfall features a speedrun trophy where you need to beat the entire game from start to finish in 4 hours or less. This might seem impossible during your first playthrough, but once you understand the puzzles and where to go, you will have an absolute breeze. We'll provide some tips below that helped us complete Silent Hill Townfall in under 2 hours!
You should only attempt this trophy on your New Game Plus playthrough, as it will allow you to enjoy the intended experience for your first playthrough without rushing things. Plus, New Game Plus unlocks new weapons that will make this much easier.
When attempting to complete the game in under 4 hours, it's essential that you play on Story Mode Difficulty. This is going to reduce the number of enemies present and reduce their total health pool, meaning you can kill them pretty much instantly if they get in your way.
Not only are enemies less frequent, but they also deal less damage, which gives you the freedom to explore and run from locations without having to worry about when you're going to find your next healing item, as you can't afford the loss of time because of these threats.
When it comes to completing the game in 4 hours, you need to be in New Game Plus. The Axe is always found in a shed east of Shore Wynd in Part 1: Arrival, and this is an infinite-durability weapon that one-shots every enemy (except the Weight). This is the same for the Pistol-3000, which has infinite ammo, but requires you to complete the sci-fi ending.
Both of these weapons (or just the one) are essential for speedruns, as they will never run out of ammo or durability, and they kill enemies instantly. This means you can go around exterminating everything in the way instead of trying to sneak past them. However, this will almost guarantee that you get the Abandoned ending, which doesn't actually matter for the speedrun achievement.
The Axe can also be found as Zoe outside Mr. Stewart's garden, and the Pistol-3000 in the Boardroom as Richard. Both of these will vastly improve your speedrun times.
