For 300 Crowns, you can win Count Romilly's Figurine from the auction in "Open Sesame!" If you win this interesting figurine in the bidding war, then you might be wondering what it's for. Count Romilly's Figurine is actually the secret requirement you need to unlock a unique side quest in The Witcher 3: Hearts of Stone involving more loot to make it worth your while, and here's what you need to do!
You need to bid and win the rare statuette of an eagle during "Open Sesame!" or you won't be able to play this quest.
Once you have Count Romilly's Figurine, take it to an Armorer to dismantle it. You can do this by accessing the Armorer's Wares, then by hitting L1/LB to enter the Dismantle tab, where you can now find the figurine and select it to be dismantled.
This will reward you with Count Romilly's Will and the Ornate Key. You can now read the document you obtained, which will tell you about treasure in the Arnskrone Castle Ruins, which begins the "A Dark Legacy" treasure hunt.
With "A Dark Legacy" now as your active side quest, you'll have to head to the Arnskrone Castle Ruins. This is a far eastern location in Velen that will take you north-east of Oxenfurt, as shown on the map above. Be warned, there are wolves, wargs, and a Leshen here, so bring your best weapons for a fight!
Once the enemies are dead, head through the ruins, and in the west corner you'll find descending stairs. The way forward is blocked by a door, which you can break with the Aard Sign. However, this immediately summons three Wraiths, so be ready for a fight. Continue through the room to find the chest with your loot, which is unfortunately randomized.
