Baits are an important part of fishing in How to Fish, as different creatures require different types of bait. Most baits can be bought from shops, but a few can only be acquired in other ways. You get it by default when you purchase the Crab Fishing Rod
You can buy it from the shop on the first and second island for $1.
You can get it by buying beer and giving it to the Lighthouse Keeper
You can buy it from the shop on the second island for $3.
You can buy it from the second, third, and fifth islands for $40.
You can get it by giving five leeches to the girl on the second island
