Wild At Heart is a side quest in Witcher 3 that begins in the village of Blackbough in Velen, where Geralt investigates the disappearance of Niellen's wife, Hannah. After speaking with Niellen, the blacksmith, and several villagers, Geralt can follow a series of clues that eventually reveal what happened to Hannah. To begin Wild At Heart, head to Blackbough in Velen and speak with Niellen, who is looking for his missing wife, Hannah. Niellen explains that Hannah disappeared a few days ago, and the villagers have been searching for her without finding any trace.
After speaking with Niellen, talk to the blacksmith and his children to learn more about Hannah and what happened before she disappeared. You can also speak with the redheaded woman in the village, who has her own information about Hannah. Once you have gathered enough information, follow the quest marker into the nearby woods.
At the marked location, Geralt will encounter a group of wolves. Defeat them and continue investigating the area. Shortly after the fight, Hannah's sister, Margrit, will appear.
Margrit will ask Geralt to tell Niellen that Hannah is dead and leave the matter alone. She offers Geralt a reward for doing so, allowing you to complete the quest without discovering what actually happened to Hannah.
If you accept her offer, you will receive your payment and the quest will end. However, this means you won't learn the truth about Hannah or discover what happened to Niellen. If you want to uncover the mystery and see the full conclusion of the quest, refuse the deal and continue investigating.
Use Witcher Senses around the area to examine the nearby corpses. Geralt will find additional clues, including claw marks and a trail that leads deeper into the woods.
Follow the trail until you reach an Isolated Shack. Enter the building to find Mysterious Notes. After examining them, go around the outside of the house to find an entrance leading underground. You will find a wooden door blocking the entrance and can use Aard to destroy it. After that, enter the cave up ahead.
