Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 will be fully out and available on PS5 from 23rd October 2026, and just four days later, it will have its default multiplayer map that basically overrules every other new location in the game: Shipment.
Exactly like the Treyarch entries, which eventually just become another way of playing Nuketown, the Infinity Ward titles have been all about Shipment, dating back to Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare.
The studio has confirmed Shipment will be coming to Modern Warfare 4 on 27th October 2026, remodelled and once again updated for the new game. It's a tiny map that people love for its chaos and intensity; it's basically a square arena with shipping containers creating paths and cover.
The date was revealed in a roadmap covering Modern Warfare 4's launch, as campaign early access goes live on Friday, then the DMZ mode is available from Tuesday, 20th October. The multiplayer completes the set on 23rd October.
Around Halloween, there's going to be a Possession Mode and an Infected Mode, and then Season 1 begins on 6th November. It's also at this point when Warzone players can toggle off other players' silly skins.

I might be wrong, but to my knowledge, this is the earliest Shipment has ever been added to a Call of Duty game.
Don't get me wrong, I have very fond memories of playing this map, but the way it dominates playlists once it's been added means you'll likely play it more than any other new map once it's added. And there are just four days between release and its addition. Players will use Shipment as an easy way to level up weapons, unlock skins, and pick it at virtually every opportunity.
