Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 is a fantastic title, and it is one that I recently completed a first playthrough of. For my first playthrough, I decided to complete a challenge run where I only used one character at a time in my party.
Instead of having access to a bunch of combos, it limited the gameplay in a way that didn't feel too difficult, but enough to make it challenging in a fun way. So, I began thinking of other ways to challenge myself.
If you love Expedition 33, you might want to try a second playthrough where you complete a challenge run. Maybe you can limit your Pictos, or perhaps avoid upgrading your character. You might be surprised at how well you do, and you're certain to develop your skills in different aspects of the game.
Say you have already beaten Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, and you are looking for a new type of challenge. You don't want to go too far because you don't know if you can handle a real skill test.
Well, you can jump up in difficulty. If you played the game in story mode, jump up to Expeditioner mode to get more of a challenge. If you played the game in Expeditioner mode, jump up to Expert mode for a real challenge.
Increasing the game's difficulty is often the first step to committing to more difficult challenge runs, and Expert mode doesn't go easy on you. It decreases the parry and dodge windows, making combat much more difficult, so you will be getting an actual challenge. If you can master the mechanics here, you can then play with them further in subsequent runs.
