A powerful optic in Modern Warfare 4 lets you track enemies through walls, essentially giving legal wallhacks.
Modern Warfare 4’s beta has given us a great look at what we can expect with the full launch in October, and some weapons, such as the ISO Nightshade, have already proved themselves as standout choices. However, the meta SMG only gets better with its Apex attachment.
The ISO Nightshade’s Apex attachment is the ISO Trace, which has “specialized RFID ammunition” that “tags targets on impact,” letting you track them through walls.
Essentially, once you land a bullet on an enemy, they become marked on a little screen just below the reticle. This mark gives you a live feed of the enemy’s whereabouts, and it works through walls, so you know precisely where they are at all times.
If you shoot a player who escapes around a corner, you know exactly whether they’re staying still waiting for you, coming round to challenge you, or running away. You can simply pre-aim the corner and hit them as they come round, just as if you were cheating.
Since it’s an Apex attachment, you’ll need to reach Level 56 with the ISO Nightshade to unlock it. There’s Double XP until the end of the beta, so you have time to give it a try if you grind the SMG.
While powerful in multiplayer, it could be game-changing in Warzone. The battle royale’s increased health means enemies are more likely to get away when being shot, so you’d have a major upper hand in these gunfights. Or, you can tag a distant enemy with the SMG then use the ISO Trace to hunt them down.
