The location of the 2027 Pokémon World Championships has been announced.
Announced during the closing ceremony of the 2026 event, the Pokémon World Championships 2027 will take place in Singapore. This marks the first time the Pokémon World Championships have been held in Asia since 2023, when the event was held in Yokohama, Japan.
The first trailer for the event showed off some of the Pokémon that will be featured in merchandise and iconography around the show. Solgaleo, Celebi, and Lapras.
The Pokémon Company has confirmed that PokémonXP won’t be part of next year’s event. The 2027 Pokémon World Championships will be held from August 13 until August 17.

The 2026 Pokémon World Championships saw 50,000 people attend the Moscone Center in San Francisco across the weekend. Featuring the yearly World Championships Pokémon Center and the new PokémonXP fan experience, the 2026 Pokémon World Championships were the largest yet.
This year’s Pokémon Championship Sunday was broadcast live from Chase Center, home of the Golden State Warriors. The arena, which is the biggest to ever hold a Pokémon tournament, was completely sold out.
