Final Fantasy 7 Revelation will bring an end to Square Enix's remake trilogy on the 8th April, 2027. The release date was confirmed during the latest State of Play.
This third game has obviously been a long time coming, considering the original Final Fantasy 7 Remake first launched for PS4 all the way back in 2020.
In fact, Revelation's release date arrives almost exactly seven years after Remake's debut. Fancy that!
The State of Play broadcast also gave us our best look yet at Revelation's gameplay.
For those out of the loop, this third instalment goes full open world, allowing you to explore the whole of the planet's surface with the help of Cid's airship, the Highwind.
So there's way more freedom to this adventure — you can even choose which character leads the party, and your choice will be reflected during side quests and the like with differing dialogue.
