Blizzard announced its new take on Classic WoW with World of Warcraft: Forever, coming this November. This revamped version of the game adds new class and race combinations, a new playable race, along with new dungeons, raids and more. It will also run alongside retail WoW and WoW Classic as its own game. Fans will not need to wait until November to play because there is a beta starting soon. Players who preorder one of the above editions will also get access to the new Skyborne race, Zephras Isle starting experience, and 30 days of WoW Game Time.
Only an active WoW subscription is required to play World of Warcraft: Forever at launch, but an upgrade pack is required to access the new Skyborne race.
World of Warcraft: Forever Beta starts September 17 and runs through October 21, 2026.
Any upgrade purchase will also give players access to Early Name Reservation from October 23 through November 3, 2026. This gives players the option to create and customize up to three characters ahead of launch to reserve names. It is still first-come, first-served, so be sure to act quickly when reserving character names.
