At BlizzCon 2026 this weekend, Blizzard has announced Diablo is getting an animated Netflix series.
Blizzard: "We are thrilled to share that we are in development on a new animated series for Diablo with Netflix."
Blizzard president Johanna Faries also teased there could be adaptations for other series, (including Overwatch and Warcraft) in the future. Additional details about the Diablo animated series will be shared when the team is ready.
Netflix has previously been involved with animated adaptations of video game series such as Castlevania and Devil May Cry.
Apart from this, the Diablo segment at this year's opening ceremony included the reveal of Diablo IV: Age of Hatred Collection for Switch 2 (it's arriving next week) and the announcement of Diablo V, arriving in Spring 2029.
