Pokemon Pokopia has confirmed that its first Halloween-themed event is launching on October 17, featuring the in-game debuts of Pumpkaboo and Gourgeist as well as new decorations. Pokemon Pokopia has plenty of exciting new content for the remainder of 2026, with a second DLC planned in later months.
Pokemon Pokopia's first Halloween event, named "Pumpkaboo's Sweet Surprises," will kick off on Saturday, October 17 at 5:00 AM, local time, and run until Sunday, November 1 at 4:59. As its name suggests, the event will mark the debut of Pumpkaboo and its evolution Gourgeist. To participate in the event, players will have to speak to Pumpkaboo first. They will then begin collecting Pumpkin Candy, a new currency that can be exchanged for limited furniture and other items. Some of the new decorations seen in the promotional images include Ghost-type Pokemon balloons and statues, Pikachu-shaped Jack-O'-Lanterns, and more. Similar to previous in-game events, the Halloween celebration requires players to have built at least one Pokemon Center in Pokemon Pokopia.
